Luke 4:14-30; 20:1-26, 22:16-25.
We know that Jesus was despised and rejected. That includes examples of personal denial and rejection (e.g.: Peter, Judas), as well on the larger stage of society in general. Why did the dominant culture of the first century reject Jesus? Is their example enough to convince the dominant culture of our own time to reject Jesus as well? How can Christians offer a different perspective?
