Acts 2:1-41, Acts 4, 8, 10, 16.
The scene in Acts 2 is one of a church that was growing and developing through the power of the Holy Spirit. That was completely intertwined for the early church with purpose, authority and prayer. The Holy Spirit holds everything together and the church is powerless without this aspect of the full nature of God. The church can only be fully empowered and equipped by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit points to redemption and hope through Jesus. The Holy Spirit guides into truth and leads into righteousness. Without the Holy Spirit the church has no purpose, holds no authority, has no need for prayer, and will never have the gracious and loving power of Christ. Which of those things are you happy for us to go without and still be “Church in all its fullness”?
