2 Peter 3: 8-18.

The Lord will return as promised and it will be unexpected and dramatic. As foreigners in this world (1 Peter 2:11) we can look forward to our homecoming – to a new heaven and a new earth.

So “what kind of people ought (we) to be”? (v11).

We ought to be filled with the Spirit, filled with Scripture, filled with desire to see rescue from the perils of this world, filled with compassion for those around us and filled with excitement that beyond the adventure of this world there is something even better to come.
