The New Testament is clear that every disciple is called by God to share in his mission. Likewise, all have gifts and a part to play in the body of Christ (cf. 1 Cor. 12). Our life together should be characterised by loving service, in imitation of the Lord we serve. This is also true for those whose particular role in the church is leadership – which can take many forms. That said, it’s vital that those called to take a lead are supported in doing so. How do we see things in our church?
