Psalm 139; James 5:13-20; 1 John 1:5-10

Since the Lord knew us before we took our first breath, why would we do anything other than pray with honesty? Prayers of confession restore and renew all that sin has stolen away from us. The Lord encourages us to come to Him openly and honestly so that He can heal us. The Lord also places us into the loving family community of church where we can be vulnerable and honest with each other, giving and receiving strength and encouragement in those aspects of our lives where we struggle the most.
