2 Chronicles 7: 1-22, Acts 2: 42-47.
It’s clear in 2 Chronicles that something is wrong. The people need to “turn from their wicked ways” and seek God’s forgiveness. As we read further into the passage it becomes clear that the Lord is calling His people back to total devotion to Him as they turn from the things that have been distracting them away from their walk with the Lord. Then in Acts 2 we read about the impact of a church that’s totally devoted to God in every way, including prayer. As we embrace the call of 2 Chronicles to humble ourselves in prayer, what do we need to do to reflect the authenticity of the church in Acts that comes through a devotion to prayer?
