Exodus 14: 1 – 31.
When something doesn’t feel part of our preferred plan, it’s easy to spot. Not being able to see the whole of God’s plan in one go can limit our ability to trust fully, as well as the potential to cause us to verbalise our concerns. When we let that happen, God’s goodness in the past, His involvement now, and His promise of future hope can all get hidden behind the immediacy of our fear of the unknown. Through Moses, God spoke words of encouragement, reassurance, and promise: “Stand firm… you will see… you only need to trust”.
God longs to protect and sustain all that He has built up, and so we can have the confidence to be excited about all that is yet to come.
