Revelation 4 and 5.

“What more can we see about Jesus that will help us to live [steadfastly and resolutely] and why do we even need to bother at all? Surely by now we know how to answer that question! Revelation chapters 4 and 5 carefully set out a description of heaven that John saw in a vision. Those who are gathered there are declaring aloud “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!” (Revelation 5:12). That reminds us of all that we saw in Hebrews about Jesus as “above all” and whose glory, honour, and supremacy anchor in Him. It takes us back as well to the introduction to this teaching series where we said how Derek Tidball describes in his commentary entitled “The message of the Cross”, this is “love indestructible”.

Now we have a new question to answer: are we ready to be amongst those in heaven who are endlessly declaring “worthy is the Lamb” when our time comes, or are we still unprepared? Don’t leave it any longer – be ready right now by declaring your faith, certainty, and hope in Jesus!
