Sometimes the answer to something doesn’t bother us too much, but there are plenty of other times when it does, and we’re desperate to know, we’re longing for an answer. We need to know, we need to understand, we need to work things out in our minds so that we can make sense of what’s going on around us and know how to relate to it.
More than 3.2 million people worldwide have contracted Covid-19. Over 234,000 have now died. About a third of all deaths have been in America, and more than 27,000 in the UK.
Why, Lord? We’re longing for answers.
I want us to explore together today the big question that so many people ask, especially in the midst of a crisis: “Why does God allow so much suffering?”.
