James 1:2 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds”. How readily do we choose joy and celebration instead of despair and worry?
The Rend Collective song “Joy” starts with the words “We’re choosing celebration”, and goes on to say that even when we’re “in the shadows, in the sorrows, in the desert, when pain hits”, that the Lord is unchanging. He is our “constant, ever-present… song of [our] heart”.
